Important: Beware of scam calls about compensation
The FCA has confirmed that scammers are already making calls pretending to be from lenders. They may say they need your personal details, banking or card information and agreement details to process compensation payments.
Motor finance lenders won’t contact customers seeking this type of information until the FCA has finalised the compensation scheme.
If you get a call like this:
- Hang up straight away
- Don’t share any personal or banking details
